at\u00a0how limited the number of sites and investigations related to this historical period is. Research was carried out without following a scrupulous and scientific method of investigation. they also display the ceramic artifacts found on the site, dating back to a period between the 13th and 16th century.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7830278 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7830278\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The lack of documentation and the state of the ruins do not allow a reconstruction of the development of the defense system nor of the entire context between the 11th and 16th centuries.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-837eaa1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"837eaa1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">In 1070 the center of Seso was attested among the properties of the noble group of the Counts of Biandrate and was an important crossroads between Valsessera, Valsesia and the Novara area.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-dc8eb83 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"dc8eb83\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-no\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-c21667d\" data-id=\"c21667d\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ec7239e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ec7239e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The importance of this territory as an exchange place, a market and a hub is actually confirmed by the innumerable fortifications erected by the Counts of Biandrate in the area today included between the hamlets of Aranco and Vanzone, starting from the fortification of Agnona, which took place in 1140-41.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6eec2e8 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget-tablet__width-inherit elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6eec2e8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The highly uneven settlement of the entire Valsesia is also reflected in the curtis of Seso; This operation was part of the border control policy, also implemented by the Eusebian institution in nearby Gattinara.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-67580e5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"67580e5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Another interesting aspect we hope to be able to investigate in the near future is the medieval occupation of the caves. This theme was so far underestimated due to the preferences shown by the scholars who studied the caves of Monte Fenera, starting with Carlo
